Directions to the McDowell County Health Department from Asheville

Interstate 40 East to Sugar HIll Road, exit 81. Turn left at the stop light. You will be turning onto Sugar Hill Road. At the second light (approximately 2-3 miles) you will turn left onto Rankin Drive. (Look for the blue signs marked "H" for Hospital). You will then turn at the first right onto Spaulding Road. You will need to continue on Spaulding Road for approximately one-half mile. The Health Department will be on your right.
